Support IDF
There are a number of ways you can support IDF in her work to improve the lives of the marginalised in the North West Region.
Financial Support
IDF is always interested in receiving monetary donations in order to support its programs. Please contact us for more information about donating to our program.
In addition, IDF generates revenue through the rental of its multipurpose hall. In June 2010, IDF set up a multipurpose hall in office space that was being underutilised. This multipurpose hall is available for rental and revenues earned from its rental go towards helping to fund IDF’s operational expenses. This hall is ideal for workshops, seminars, meetings, and conferences as it is centrally located in Bamenda on Commercial Avenue. IDF also has a projector, a conference board, and video and photos camera available for rental when using the hall. IDF has been making small improvements to the hall as it has been receiving more and more renters. Most recently IDF was able to install curtains on all the windows to provide a more professional atmosphere. If anyone is interested in renting this hall please contact us.
Technical Support
IDF is always looking for volunteers to provide technical support and capacity building. If you are interesting in finding out more about volunteer opportunties at IDF please contact us. Please note that IDF currently does not have the financial means to provide accomodation, travel or food to independent volunteers. IDF receives international volunteers through VSO, CESO, DED – please visit the Our Partners section of the About IDF page for more information.

1. Book Donations
IDF recognizes the importance of information management. As an organization who relies on sharing information with funders, partners, other organizations and clients, IDF has been quite active in developing an information management system for its hard copy and soft copy resources. In August 2010, IDF completed the computerization of its hardcopy resources and set up the IDF library. The system is based on preliminary work carried out by the consulting firm MACDEVIS based in Douala who used the international SATIS coding. The system has been updated and made more user-friendly with the help of a VSO volunteer. All the resources available at IDF were catalogued and entered into its computer system which makes searching and locating resources quick and easy. The next step in IDF’s information management process is to develop a system for the soft copy materials.
IDF is always interested in expanding its library collection. If you have books or magazines you would like to donate to our library please contact us.
